UEA at Lake Powell

We spent our UEA weekend at Lake Powell. It was chilly at times, I think the high temp was around 75. Lake Powell is one of my most favorite places of all time, so I don't care what the temperature is. We had some awesome adventures- and some close calls! We had a ball with Tara, Jerry, Breoni, and Kyrie... we love you guys so much! We did some exploring and sightseeing (the defiance house indian ruins. We did some playing in the water as well, in the afternoon when it was warmer. After many attempts and much engineering, Tara and I managed to get the kids through this little slot in the sandstone and up to this amazing little oasis complete with very green plants and a clear pool of water. I think it was called cathedral of the desert. I must say- Tara is a way better climber than I- she rocked! After we explored, the only way down was- yep- to jump! COWABUNGA!
I LOVE Lake Powell, and we are so thankful we have such great friends and family who will take us on thier boats and allow us to make these great memories!

Eating Crow

The boys of summer didn't make it happen this year. We just didn't have the offense, and we had our chance at it in the seventh inning. We loaded the bases and had some great hitters on deck... but just didn't get it done. It was an amazing series, and all the props go to the Rays. What a comeback they have made, and I hope they take the championship.....
I still believe in my team.... they fought hard. Look out MLB, the RedSox will be back and ready next year. I already can't wait!

Motocross Finale!

Last Saturday was the final race of the year for motocross. Shawn had kind of a tough day- but came out with two third place finishes. He was right up front at the start of both races, but had some trouble in one particular corner and crashed a few times. He is a little sore today! He doesn't give up and would battle back to the front of the pack and finish in the top three. He sure has learned a lot this year. His racing buddies, Mason and Gage, were there and they did awesome, too! Mason sure is a nice kid, he was always concerned about Shawn when he crashed and was upset. I am glad the year is over, I need a break! We have a little fixing to do on the bike and it deserves a rest over the winter. Shawn took second overall for the entire year, and got these huge trophies!
