Christmas Fun!

We had an awesome Christmas! On Christmas Eve, we went to Papa Lee's and sledded down his "custom" sledding hill. After that, we ate a yummy dinner and SANTA came! I think it is so cool that Santa comes to every house in Mayfield. We also visited with Grandpa Neil, which was very special, becuase that is the last time we were able to see him before he died. (I will post more on this tomorrow....)
After singing songs to Grandma and Grandpa and reliving a few memories... we went back to Papa's and played Bingo.
Once we got home, the kids were ready to head to bed. I think that they knew the sooner they went to bed, the sooner Santa would come. So- we opened our Christmas Jammies, put out the cookies, and headed to bed!
Christmas Morning, we(mom and dad) had to wake up the sleepy heads at 7:30! Check out the picture of thier sleepy eyes! Charlee was so FUN this year... she said a bunch of times that "this is my best christmas ever!" Shawn and Savvy got everything thier little hearts desired.... and so did mom and dad. Thanks to Lee and Tina for visiting us that morning to see what the kids got! After that, my Mom and Dad came for Christmas Dinner, and we enjoyed eachothers company all afternoon. I think it was a perfect christmas!

Christmas Dilemmas

I don't know if it is the economic situation or what, but I am feeling a tiny bit grinchy this year!
I am especially struggling with buying gifts. Shawn has graciously provided me with at least three lists of wishes, complete with prices and descriptions. He is quite the internet surfer! I am doing fine with him.
But the girls are more difficult. Savannah is asking for her room to be redone. So- what do I do about that? Do I re-do it before christmas, or give her all the supplies for christmas and let her help me re-do it the few days after?
And Charlee is asking for everything we already have a million of. I just don't want more clutter! I would really like to get things that we don't already have!
I guess I better get out the tree and decorations and start listening to christmas music. I need the spririt of the season and some serious inspiration! Any great ideas?
