The heart of a champion....

We had a very long and exhausting day at the Nationals Wrestling tournament last Saturday... but I am so proud of my little champ. He really gives 110% on every match... does all he can every time he shows up. He gives his heart and soul- and sometimes it is hard and he hurts... but he never gives up. And after it is over, he learns and goes on to the next challenge. He did so amazing in a very tough bracket of 17 talented kids. Although he wishes he could have made it to the championship match... he did not allow anyone to pin him and he won some brutal matches against kids from all over. The fact that his bracket went seven rounds and until late into the evening shows how great these kids all are. 6 out of 17 boys placed in the finals and Shawn placed fourth. I asked him today if he wants to wrestle those kids again, and his eyes lit up and he said "Ya! It is funner to wrestle good kids, mom!" I said, "Even if it means you lose a few?" And he said, "For sure!" What a great kid... I don't know how I got so lucky to have the three kids I have.

There is hope!

The other day, this is how I found the girls when I came home.... asleep together on the couch! They are so cute.... and they do get along sometimes... this is proof! I think I am going to post this picture so they can be reminded that they really do love eachother!
